    Goodsearch.com

I just heard about www.goodsearch.com...it's a search engine powered by yahoo that donates to your favorite organization (charity or school) every time you search. The CFF has raised over $1400 already, and if everyone uses this engine, we can really propel this into a huge success for the CFF.

    Summer Camp Help

Hi all. I'm working at a summer camp and have just been named the captain of half of the camp in our annual camp war, and this year's theme is Ketchup vs. Mustard. I am on the mustard side of things. If anyone has an connection to anything mustard that can somehow donate or lend some kind of...

    College Life with CF

I am in college now. I had a single room freshmen year, not so much for my own health but because I didn't want to drag some stranger down with treatments and weird hours. In my second year I was able to get a suite with my friends so I still had my own room but was with my friends all the time...

    Prunning up fast

I prune up really quick and usually a bit more severe than most people. My kids at camp call me "monster hands" when we go swimming.

    Full Time Teacher

Sorry to be misleading about my intentions on being a teacher. It's what I've wanted to do since I was in high school and am pursuing my bachelor's in music ed. now. I know it takes a lot of work, and the amount of hours a music teacher puts in after school rehearsals is demanding, but I was...

    Full Time Teacher

Has anyone with cf had an experience as a full time school teacher? I see it now as good health insurance, short work days to ensure enough rest, and summers off to rebuild my health if it wavers a bit. Does anyone have any input about teaching with cf?

    OT-Update on friend in Iraq

Thanks, Julie, for refreshing that post. Reading about your friend's specific situation gave me a better perspective and sympathy for the struggle he has to deal with. I disagree with the statement under "What's all this fuss?" but to each his own. I hope that your friend comes out of this with...

    Gene Mutations

Ahh I'm at a loss right now because I know I was just very surprised to hear about someone being born with CF to parents who were not carriers. The gene mutation can occur though. It's highly rare. If spontaneous gene mutations were impossible, CF would never have begun!

    Why your username?

I go to The College of New Jersey...TCNJ for short. Yes. The "T" is actually part of the for short. Things are crazy in New Jersey. "Cystic" I got from this disease I know.

I think this is so neat

That sounds really weird. That's all I initially thought. Kind of intriguing. Maybe one day I can be a famous diamond on the crown of the King of America...whoops....I slipped.

    no more "anons"

no more I disagree, and I've said so before. I understand why abolishing the anons is a good idea. A lot of them cause drama and hide like little babies when they do. The problem is that anonymous posting is great for people who truly come here looking for help and look to remain anonymous...

    salt

I abuse salt like a junkie to smack. I salt everything and still get cravings sometimes. Usually I feel it in my tongue, which is weird and hard to visualize I suppose. I salt everything from hamburgers to (at times) baked ziti. I have never gotten sick from a lack of salt before, though.
