Hello my CF family, Just an update...my older two children are carriers and as most of you know Xander died on Thanksgiving from complications of CF. I miss and love ya all.

Piper, Thank you for your reply and I made it my goal to warn moms and dads with CF babies to be mindful of their little ones because they can not tell you that they can't breathe right. Xander's mucous plug hit so fast and hard that really there wasn't anything anyone could do for him...sadly...

Another thing about the babies with CF...they can't tell you they can't breathe...you must watch and be mindful...reminds me of that morning...my hubby normally works days but because of it being Thanksgiving he was home. He gave Xander his treatment and said he sounded fine to him and that...

It's ok that you asked...in fact we just got his autopsy results back...Xander died from mucous plugging that caused lung failure...he has atypical or so they told us ..but in the end was determined to be a severe form of CF. I never believed even after finding out they were going to put him on...
