DF508ers who participated in VX-770 trials

Its because people with delta f508 do have some protein functionality but also have the broken gate wich is why they need vx 770 as well as 809 or 661 or possibly all 3.

    N1303K & CFRD

I was reading an article online the other day and it was kind of technical so I'm not really sure I understood it completely but I thought it said that people with n1303k aren't as likely to develop cfrd. Can some people with this mutation please respond as to wether you've developed this...

    partially collapsed lung

We got the results of my daughters ct scan and her right lower lobe is partially collapsed. Has anybody had any experience with this? Did it reverse on its own or lead to full collapse? Is anybody familiar with PEEP? Please help. She's only 4 and we're trying to give her the best start in life...

Just for fun but CF related - Real things doctors have said to me in the hospital

This is a little bit different and don't get me wrong; I really like this doctor because he is compassionate yet realistic and always takes the time to answer all of our questions but he's just kinda clumsy! At our last appointment he walked into our room and was like hello.. oops sorry I'm in...

    FDA drugs

If you have a gating mutation then its worth asking about. I don't see how vx 770 alone would be of much benefit to the double deltas. Because barely any of the salt makes it to the surface the benefit would be very minimal and probably not worth 300k a year.

    Thinking about death & Fear

"We are all one conscioussness experiencing itself subjectively. There's no such thing as death, life is only a dream and we're just an imagination of ourselves." And if you don't believe that then maybe I can interest you in a copy of this month's "watchtower".

    Drug trials...NOT at your clinic

MCGrad: I wanted to ask you how old you were when you acquired your PA, MRSA and aspergillus and how they have affected your health and lung function. I'm just curious because my 4 year old daughter was just diagnosed with your same mutations and she already has aspergillus plus 3 strains of...
