Amount of Sleep per day

I need at least nine hours, I haven't gotten them here lately and have had 2 weekends where I slept at least 12-14 hours one night, and usually a 1-3 hour nap the day before.

Having a baby/little one is exhausting, your sleep amounts sound about right to me! You need what you need to stay healthy, and don't let anyone tell you differently unless it's a health concern (bless his heart <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0">).

I have read a couple articles that states that people who sleep more than 8 hours, uninterrupted isn't good for anyone. It causes a significant increase in developing diabetes, heart disease and premature death. For people with CF I figure that's adding fuel to the fire. So, now I set my alarm to wake up after 7 1/2 hours of sleep. I have been feeling much better. Fantastic actually and I'm not sluggish all day. I have also been able to lower my depression medication and have been happier. If I'm really super tired, I take a nap, but mostly I try to stay awake and do something constructive or destructive-haha. I think it's really learning to read your own body. CF folks have had to learn to do that since we were young, so this is nothing different. It's really what's best for you. If you need 10-12 hours to feel good, then that's what works for you!! If people say something about it tell them beauty sleep is a process but it's obviously working, and maybe they should try it!!!-heehee~Aftershock

I usually get around 11 or so hours of sleep.  And then I take naps too...  But I can sleep for like 16 hours straight and still feel extremely tired.
