Bad Fingernails

I don't have CF (just a carrier <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> but your nails sound EXACTLY like my nails. Although, Ethan's doctor did say I have mild clubbing ("but not in the way a CFers clubs"). So, it may be due to CF or not. Maybe genetics? I don't know, but I'd like to find a way to make them better <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0"> They DO NOT get long, they are flimsy, and split. I could bend them in any way, including backwards! ha!

Same here. My nails are a nuisance sometimes. They do split like you said and it's almost impossible to resist the urge to peel them apart. They dont always do it though, just every here and there. I've never had my nails real long because something always gets in the way of them staying intact. Now that car show season is here ( I work on my own hotrod) i will be devoid of any length of nails because once i even get close to my car i can hear my nails asking each other if they're ready to jump ship. First time i get my hands in that engine compartment i break almost all of the nails that took me so long to grow. There is a perk to that however............. when anyone asks me at a show who does the work on my car, i show them my nails and thats pretty much enough said <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

I've never had my nails real long because something always gets in the way of them staying intact. Now that car show season is here ( I work on my own hotrod) i will be devoid of any length of nails because once i even get close to my car i can hear my nails asking each other if they're ready to jump ship. First time i get my hands in that engine compartment i break almost all of the nails that took me so long to grow. There is a perk to that however............. when anyone asks me at a show who does the work on my car, i show them my nails and thats pretty much enough said <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">
