nightwriter, does the car have power windows or locks? these are espcially notorious for killing batteries, the switches they use tend to break, and while it will still lock and unlock the doors it will kill your battery because it is drawing current, i would get out the test light and just poke around on anything and everything, the problem is there somewhere you just have to find it

and both of those pictures of my truck are definately it's "good side" you can't see the scratches i put in it when i put it into a fence or the huge dent on the back passenger side that appeared at walmart one day. its nothing fancy for sure, but its a good truck, i've never had a lick of trouble out of it, 210,000 miles and not a problem out of it (well, alternators and starters have been replaced of course)

OK, Andee....I'm not sure if I remember the '79 Cressida. There must not have been many around, or my half-heimers is just being active right now.

I'll stay out of the van conversation and no advice for Nightwriter, sorry, but I do hope you can figure it out!

Our "nice" car, a 60? Pontiac Star Chief, was a lot of fun---it looked like a mafia car! lol</end quote>

Nope, not many around- it also came in a station wagon, lol. I've never heard of a Star Chief, so I guess we're in the same boat!

I actually learned how to drive in a '79 Ford F-250 4x4 truck (with a factory lift kit!), pulling a loaded hay trailer in the pasture, lol. My dad still has it- he's restoring it.

Oh Lucy! "Baba-loo, Ricky!" I looked up the Star Chief, too..apparently was the base for the Bonneville (had a girlfriend named Bonnie, the car reminded me of her...different story, though ), and was shown in some episodes of "I Love Lucy" (according to Wikipedia)
