Odds of a Successful Pregnancy

I knew I was over weight, but my doc always incourages me to keep on eating! He wasnt too happy when I saw him last when I told him I started to eat lean cruisine meals, but what I didnt say is I eat other stuff along with it, more like sugar dessert type things. So since my BMI is 27.7 thats still good, eventhough Im undeweight right, oopsie overweight, thats what I ment, silly me.

One more question I just thought of, what should my ideal weight be?

I know this is a very touchy subject, but I am VERY PRO adoption.

My sister and I were adopted. My mother had 3 biological children and adopted my sister and myself.

Not once in my life have I ever felt that my mom loves her biological children more than me. I met my biological mother about 16 years ago and I am so thankful my mother took us in. I can't imagine what my life would have been like had I not been adopted.

I have explained to Courtney that pregnancy could be harder on her body than a "normal" woman. I have encouraged her to look at adoption and realize that she could love an adopted child just as much as a biological child.

I am a healthy woman and I know that having 3 children took a real toll on my body.

(going to get a little personal here)

Before children I was a healthy weight, very active, and had lots of energy.

After children I put on a lot of weight, starting having severe fatigue, and can't even sneeze or cough anymore without peeing my pants....lol. After having my third child and having my tubes tied I starting having some really bizarre things happen. I starting having severe night sweats, severe sweating under the arms, and hot flashes. I thought I was going through menopause but the docs said no.

In my mind (of course it will be Courtney's choice and I will stand behind her 100% whatever she chooses) I don't think it would be good for her to get pregnant.

I think it is a very personal choice that only you and your spouse can decide.

May I ask if you could explain more about your CF related liver disease. Courtney's last ultrasound was showing fat in the liver and I do not understand what this means.

lightnlife,

I never blocked you. I tried to respond to the PM but it said you have me blocked....lol.

SO....and am going to post my reply here........

First,

TPN?? I don't know what that is.

Courtney is NOT taking her meds like she is suppose to. I know she is taking them when I am standing right there, but I find them in her purse and stashed in drawers.

I forced her to tell the doc a few months ago that she was noncompliant with her meds. He really got on her case about it but it has not helped alot.

I have been forcing her sit down and talk to us every night about what is going on in her life. She seems to be handling the pressure of high school and the kids picking on her pretty well. I know I am Mom and she could probably fool me pretty easily, but I think she is doing okay and not depressed.

The doc wants to see her again when he comes into town next month and see the results of her bloodwork. He did a bunch of tests on her when he saw her a few weeks ago.

So far her FEV1's are holding up well. They are at 94%, but that is down from 109% but she got a real bad virus a few weeks ago and that is when they dropped.

We have tried everything....every type of shake out there and she hates all of them. She does eat well though. She eats 3 healthy meals a day and many snacks inbetween.

Any suggestions would be great!
