How about the amount of time that is spent seeing doctors and staying in the hospital. When you do the math on that part....it is pretty much a large chuck of your life inside the hospital.

These are great. I agree, most people do not realize CF affects not just the lungs; but digestion, pancreas, liver, sinus. I think 50% of Cf'ers end up with CFRD. CF is an expensive disease to have; drug co-pays, missed work, food expenses, doctor's appointments, gas. It is a time-consumimg disease. Hours EVERY day when you ARE HEALTHY ;you need to do treatments to stay healthy. Every day, we pack in all the treamtents and then all the regular stuff; leave us exhausted. Also, most parents and relatives of CF'ers know a special secret; that we are blessed every day to have these special people in our lives and we want them around for as long as we can, in quality of life not just quantity.
