I think not having your health, for any reason sucks, no matter what...but i do see what you mean about knowing what you have and being able to make the most of your life... my sister also had c/f, it did a number on her for many years, but it was breast cancer that ended her life... by the way, i know that we can give each other certain bugs, but say can my husband give my these bugs when we have sex? Iv'e been wondering that for awhile now.....thanks for any info .... Joni 55 y/o f w c/f

Your right, a lot of things SUCK. It's what u do with the cards your dealt. I agree, just when u think you've got it bad, there is always someone who has it worse. I use to think, man, I sure would hate to be paralized, like Christoper Reeves was, and i'm sure he thought this to, but I also bet he thought he was glad he survived the horse accident instead of instantly killing him. (even though it did kill him eventually) People just need to find the good in whatever they have, because we will all have something one day.

in all honesty, i think people should stop trying to compare CF to better or worse things. its what we have and it what WE have to deal with. my philosphy has always been that EVERYONE has problems. They are all different, and each one is equal. people just dont know how to cope with tragedy and some do, its the ability to cope and morn that decides how 'bad' something is.

My reply wasn't necessarily comparing who has it worse - it all sucks, whatever disease, illness or whole in your heart you may have.
However, I have CF and I wouldn't consider IT merciful.
I guess the one thing merciful is God. We pray that He gets us through whatever it is we have to face that day, that year, or in our lifetime.
Yes, God is merciful to me, but not being able to breathe, well, that just friggin SUCKS.
