Oh and a quick piece of common effin sense... lots of people with cancer (I know not all, don't jump up my @ss) get cancer, go through radiation or chemo (not saying either is fun), and then never see it again. Last I checked, chemo didn't "cure" CF.

Mind you, that's my opinion. But I think it's fairly common sense.

ON Rami's behalf......maybe his words were not the best choice. Given his thoughts at the time of this post, maybe its what he felt. ON another thread he also agrees with someone who doesnt want to live. I know Rami pretty well and believe he posts what his heart & emotions are saying right at that moment. Maybe something happened to get this thought provoked for him. Dont crucify him even if many of us have seen the worst side of CF including death. He isnt having a walk thru the park with his CF. He is struggling to stay alive like us, but without most of the meds & proper care that we get. REMEMBER WRITTEN WORDS DONT ALWAYS EXPRESS WHAT OUR TRUE THOUGHTS/MEANINGS ARE!

I by no means believe CF is merciful. but...I could definitely be alot worse off. I watched my father go through kidney failure almost 5 years ago and through the tears anger and heartache...I thanked god I wasnt going through that. I also think that when your sick from a baby up it's easier because you never know what it's like to be normal but when something hits you (no matter what it is) at an older age(say 30) it's so much harder because you knew what life was like before you were sick.

Just my opinion please dont yell. haha

we all experience and view our lives differently no matter what the circumstances are. Rami, I think it is good that you come to terms with your CF in a way that feels good to you.

I agree with many of you that it is silly to compare diseases, especially in the sense that having a disease like CF is different than having a disablity, like blindness or deafness. The grounds for comparison are really slippery. Diseases often cause disabilities, but mostly it is a cause-effect relationship that works only one way: disabilities do not usually cause diseases. Also, it is futile to assign a disease human qualities such as mercy, sadism, etc. Such personification implies that there exists some sort of intentionality in the disease, but there can't be. A disease does not think and act in conscious ways.

I've read all of your replys and all of you had made a lot of good points, I myself try to stay positive, and since I havent felt or been through a lot with my CF, only little minor problems. I feel that for me right now, CF doesnt sound as bad to have compared to other diseases that are out there, not counting blindness or deafness, bc they are only disabilities. Im talking about other stuff, like cancer, I know that SOME cancer can be cured but not ALL cancer is, my grandpa passed away with lung cancer, and I've known a few people that beat cancer, but cancer can STILL come back, even after beating it the first time. Every illness and disease sucks, no matter what it is, and like some had said on here its how you deal with it. Right now I can agree with ihatecf, simply bc I havent gone through a lot like some of you have, but when I do, then I might not agree with her, and say that CF is the worst to have. So far the only thing I hate about it is the treatments, that is so time consuming and then trying to make sure you get them in.
