- What can I say...
I watched it- It was stupid and depressing all at once.
And BTW I don't know where the hell you guys go to a transplant center but I know at mine they'd fo sho kick you out if you were dating another cfer. Maybe it's illegal but they'd do it.

Geez April, do they deny you a tx if one of your siblings has CF too? That IS wrong.
And yea, its rare now a days to meet others with CF but it happens. My and my sister's RA in college had CF.

You are so right though about cancer being "hot" in hollywood...ugh! Then making us CFers look crazy, and that probably didnt help with raising organ donation.

April,

There are a lot of cfers who date each other... like the show said, they say it really helps to have some one know exactly what you are going through.

I agree with that, but I always wonder what the heck you do when you both are feeling like ***** and need someone to take care of you... like my fiance does to me on the days I really need it.

I actually know of a couple (I friended on fb) that one has had a tx already but they are still together.

My docs have never freaked out on me, granted I have the bugs, so for me I dont want to give them to others, but like when I was younger my cf doc showed me a girl with a port, and a boy with a g-tube, just so I could see what they looked like. And during my tx evaluation my case worker asked if I talked to the other cf'er the day before during her tx eval.

I just cant see a doc blowing up like that. Maybe advising against it, but it didnt seem 'professional' on the episode.

there is a southpark about AIDS being the disease of the 90s and Cancer being the disease of the new millenium....

I definitely think we need to write to the producers of Grey's Anatomy and let them know whats up....if they want real information about CF they shouldn't get it from a website with out of date information.

Ugh, this just really fired me up. Kind of makes us look like we're stupid.

I agree with the fact that they should have researched the disease more, but I'm also glad that they did the story line about cf. Even if everything wasn't accurate it still brings awareness to the disease. Alot of people still don't know what cf is and the more people are aware of it, the better chances they might be to help as far as donating to cff or being an organ donor.

Is there anywhere I could watch it online in Canada? It says I can only watch hulu.com in the US. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

I can't agree more! My husband laughed when someone one asked about the episode because he knows that I was not happy about it. I grew up going to CF sleep away camp in the summers which means there were LOTS of CFers in one place, arrest us now! Bottom line, you will not keep me from my CF friends. Of course I won't compromise someones health but I will go in a hazmat suit if I have too.
