I thought most people diagnosed with CFRD use insulin for treatment. I've never heard of CFRD coming and going.

So many things can influence sugars that a lot of time when you are borderline & you are stressed, have an infection, are using prednisone etc that it gets classified as CFRD.

This could explain why someone doesnt always need insulin, but close monitoring is important.

Its important to do a test when you are "well" & monitor sugars even then IMHO because even the borderline can have an influence on your health.

I also had gestational which is suppose to go away & for me it did after birth, but it doesnt for everyone.

I had forgotten about intermittent cfrd. Yes that explains the coming and going. I wish mine would just go!
