Did your parents do anything special after CF Checkups?

Yea I remember back in the 80's doing PFT's. Boy were they insane, not to mention tiring, I had to sit in a box for an hour. I remember being coached through them, "Push and pull, push and pull!". What if someone was claustrophobic?

I loved clinic days... it was always me and my dad and my nana Jean... I always got to go to the Guft shop and I would always get Madlibs... LOL!!! I remember it and even to this day, at 32, I go with my daddio!!! I do not like going by myself!!!

I never got to skip school completely. But my appts were usually in the early afternoons so I would anticipate all day when the loud speaker would come on and say "could you please send Khristina to the office"! THose were the best words!! I would get so excited. It was the day I would have my mom all to myself. If I had to get shots I would get a toy from my DR. After the appts my mom would take me to Long John Silvers. It was a fast food seafood place. I would look forward to that all day!!!
What a fun thread. SO many memories!!!

Oh and yes I do remember the dreaded mechanical pft's!!!
