Ejaculation Volume

Hi all,<div><br></div><div>I'm 23 years old and I was diagnosed with CF at around 14, I've managed to stay in relatively good health and keep my lung function around 90 - 110%. Although as I get older I find it more challenging everyday.</div><div><br></div><div>Anyway, my reason for posting is the small amount of semen volume I have which I can only assume is related to CF. It makes me quite anxious when I'm with new partners and definitely makes me feel like less of a man. Girls get really confused for the first time and ask me if I came because there is such a small amount they don't even notice, its really quite embarrassing and an extra thing to worry about - which I don't need.</div><div><br></div><div>I know it seems very superficial and I should be worrying about other things, but I can't help but be bothered it. It's gotten to the stage when I even hear about sperm or see it in a video that it makes me angry and jealous.</div><div><br></div><div>Now my volume is very very small, I can't even describe it.. if I masturbate twice in one day usually the second time I will get nothing, the first time I might get 3-4 small drops! Like I said girls dont even notice when I "ejaculate".. Its only when I wait about 3-4 days that I will get anything noticeable but it is still very minuscule, maybe just enough for someone to notice.</div><div><br></div><div>I've even tried this drug (<a href="%3CA%20HREF=" http:="" en.wikipedia.org="" wiki="" clomifene"=""><A HREF="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clomifene">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clomifene</A></a><a href="<A HREF="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clomifene">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clomifene</A>"></a>) as I've heard it increases volume, but it didn't help at all! I've also tried ZMA and Tribulus, no results..</div><div><br></div><div>I understand that 98% of CF sufferers have CAVD, I actually don't care about that. I've accepted the fact that I'm infertile, please dont say this is the reason for my small volume as I understand people who get vasectomy's (which is essentially the same thing) still have a decent volume, I also know that sperm makes up a small volume of the semen (<a href="<A HREF="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semen">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semen</A>"><A HREF="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semen">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semen</A></a>).</div><div><br></div><div>Now I know I should see a specialist, but I'm a very anxious person; I've been referred to a specialist after emailing my CF doctor, but everytime I've made an appointment I've cancelled or not shown up. I think the only thing that would make me go is if I knew he could help, but I'm pretty sure there is nothing I can do.</div><div><br></div><div>So does anyone have the same problem, where they have next to no semen? If so is there ANYTHING I can do about it?</div><div><br></div><div>Once again I know this seems ridiculous to be this caught up about my semen volume, but it messes up my relationships, because I dont want have to explain to them whats happening at such an early stage in the relationship.</div><div><br></div><div>PS: Sorry if this post is a little scattered, reading over it just annoyed me..</div>

I know you said specifically you do NOT want this for an explanation, but it IS the reason your volume is so small.

Of course, I don't know for sure in your case as you don't say you've been tested for CBAVD, but this is the same situation among all men with CF who have CBAVD. I wouldn't believe everything you read on wikipedia, it's no always accurate. Your volume is significantly reduced because you do NOT have semen in your ejaculation.

This is coming from my firsthand experience BTW, having been married to a man with CF and CBAVD.

You know I am getting old because I chuckled at the fact that you didn't want to explain about your CF so early in your relationship, yet you are having sex, no judgment, it just make me think I am so old <br><br>I would imagine that that would be uncomfortable for you. I do know that other CF men suffer from the same thing, also being dehydrated and stuff can play a role into it low volume as well as anxiety and certain medications<br>
<br>CF really does effect every aspect of your life, you sound like such a nice guy, I don't have any answers.. Just wanted to say I am sorry and I know you are not alone. I think if you could become secure with yourself somehow and think to yourself  I am who I am and tough crap, that would be easier on you, but that does not usually come until much later in life for most people.
<br>
<br>I have a lot of body issues, since I have been scarred pretty badly by bowel surgeries, and I have huge stretch marks on my body that are keloid, I for a long time never wanted anyone to see me without clothes on because I was embarrassed.
<br>
<br>Now, at the ripe old age of 38, I say I am who I am my scars my body are all a part of me, even my prednisone belly and round face...
that is me, that is what makes me. <br>
<br>I think knowing there probably isn't to much you can do about it to change it, if you change your attitude about it it it will help, People tend to take your lead on how you feel about stuff, The sexiest person in the world is one that is comfortable in their own skin...
<br>
<br><br>I would take someone scarred from head to toe, and any other issue that had some self belief in themselves that could make me laugh over the hottest non scarred insecure man any day. I guess it depends on your definition of sexy.<br>

While you may not have sperm due to CBAVD, you still have semen. Fluid from the prostate and cowper's gland contribute fluid and act as a lubrication. One way to increase this is stay really well hydrated, the other is to reduce the number of times you ejaculate per day. As far as I know there are no pills or compounds that increase ejaculate. Some guys have quite a bit of volume and others don't.
You might have gotten the double whammy of having low volume to begin with and CBAVD.<br>
<br>I realize this can be a very debilitating thing when being intimate with someone. Although in certain situations less is better.<br><br>Maybe a urology forum would be a better place to post, if you don't want to see a doc.<br>

<div><br></div><div>I've read from multiple sources that sperm doesn't make up anymore than 50% (thats being generous), my volume is honestly not even measurable. I'm talking a couple of drops after a few days of no masturbation. I'm sorry but I dont believe CBAVD could be responsible for losing 90%+ of volume, multiple people on here and people who have had vasectomies say their volume is relatively normal.</div><div><br></div><div>ALSO, you said I dont have semen? You mean I don't have sperm because of CBAVD.</div>

<P>Jennifer, I think most people see semen ejaculate from their partner long before they have sex. Furthermore, the quantity of semen would be much more noticeable during other foreplay activities than it would be from sex. </P>
<P> </P>
<P>OP, I do agree with Jennifer in that you need to be comfortable in your own skin. Perhaps you can make up a good joke to say at the moment you are embarrassed such as "At least swallowing shouldn't be an issue :)" or "Well this should make clean up easy (with a big smile:)"</P>
<P>It's better than one guy I knew who's issue was that his semen made a red mark anywhere it landed. My childhood friend broke up with him even though he said it was because she had sensitive skin WTF?!</P>
