the procedure was painless and i woke having no memory of it.
as for H. pylori and ulcers, etc., i know he mentioned they'd test for that stuff and they took 6 biopsies, so i'm confident if something is brewing, it will show up.
one interesting thing they did find was tons of yeast on my esophagus (which the gi doc did say can cause that burpy/airy feeling when i eat cause it kinda irritates the yeast). they took a culture of it and put me on fluconazole for 7 days. i'm hoping that knocks it out. i still feel burpy today, but its only the 2nd day i've been on it and already the white patches in my mouth are completely gone (i've been complaining to various docs in various centers about the patches on the roof of my mouth for YEARS but no one thought it was thrush so never treated it... urgh)
anyway, thanks for the info and confidence! i wouldn't hesitate to have another endo if necessary. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
