Family germ exposure issues

Your sister is an idiot!!! I'm so sorry. CF is emotional enough and to not a sister that doesn't want to take the time to learn about CF is pathetic.....Is she keeping her baby in a capsule the first year?

I have wondered about CF kids that culture HFlu being around newborns, because they have not rec their vacine for it yet...i think I voiced this thought to a doc once and he told me it was a diff strain of HFlu?

Let us know what ends up happening.

Wow, this stinks!!! I'd definitely think its time that your family get a CF education. Becca puts this newborn in no more danger than anyone else. In fact that baby probably has been exposed to more ick in the hospital upon being born, than Becca has recently.

Personally, I wouldn't take this lying down. I'd face it head on and provide as much CF reading material as you can to show your family that it is they who are being rude and downright wrong!!

I'm so very sorry!!!!

I would be very hurt and upset by this. I would make sure that they are well aware of how I feel. People like that do not understand that just b/c someone has CF they are not a walking germ factory.

I am kind of a loud mouth so I would have probably went off on them so at least I felt a little bit better. I do not know if maybe they would be interested to hear what the CF docs said or not but it might be worth a try. Good luck....
