FEV1= 95% (my only goal in life is to get mine above Chris'..... CHRIS CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED MY FRIEND)
Sat resting =99-100%
Sat exercising 96-100% varies
HR resting =75-80 but it's getting lower as I exercise more frequently

I agree. Most do not check on this which is retarded. We have lung disease and are supposed to be exercising which can stress out of heart and cause pulmonary hypertension I believe. I think we all should demand getting it checked. The reason I thought to ask for it was due to this site. People were mentioning what their O2 sats were during exercise and I had no clue. Being that I was planning a pregnancy at the time and planned to continue to exercise I figured I better double check since I didn't want to be depriving, not only me but also the baby, of much needed oxygen.

CF mom's deliver babies early. It's a huge debate as to the exact reason but generally the cf community believes it's nutritionally based unless FEV1 is very low (baby gets to a certain point and then basically feels it will do better on it's own than in mom) while OB community believes it's O2 deprevation related. Lucky for me both have been good durin my pregnancy - 22 lbs. gained and maintaining a 98% O2 sat - so both the cf doc and OB are content. Although the OB is ready to "take the baby" (induction that would likely lead to a c-section) if the baby appears small (IUGR) after around 32 weeks. I am caught in the middle of this right now. They want to continually do "tests" even though my baby has not ever appeared small. At 34 weeks they (practically) won't hesitate to take him now. Err.

I thought something was up when I couldn't keep up my stamina despite trying really hard to get fit so I got a sats monitor and tested it myself, to find they always go below 90 when exercising. My FEV1 is 66, resting sats is 91-97 (it varies) and exercising made it drop to 84-89, I even once had a reading of 78 but don't know if that is actually possible! I did feel like I was going to pass out, tho, my limbs went numb and stuff. My doc didn't want to hear about supplemental oxygen for exercise, he told me to cut down the intensity and thought a course of antibiotics would fix it, I doubted this but took Cipro...and it made no difference. BUT recently I also did a real thorough IV visit with all the trimmings and that actually made a remarkable improvement, and for quite a while they stayed above 90 when exercising. So my guess is being run down/tired, having underlying infection (even if it is your 'normal') and old clogged mucus decreases sats. Don't just accept it, try and find the source of the problem. Does anyone know what "hyperinflation" means? I've read somewhere CFs battle to exercise due to this...correct me but I think it is when you have an air cushion of 'old air' in your lungs?
