I have been wondering if/when my daughter might be able to get the respiritech vest. She has the Hillrom 104 and it is only a few years old but we have since switched insurance. After reading the stuff on the respiritech, I can't help but wish my daughter could have it. When I asked the RT about it, she rudely said that we should be thankful to even have a vest and that when our current insurance company calls her to question the need for a vest she would tell them that my daughter already has one. She said "I won't lie for you"...of course I never asked her to lie, I only asked if getting the respiritech was an option.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Yeah I suggest that you print off from Amy's blog about how & why there is a difference in the vests. Granted whats in her blog is for the incourage vest, but the point still remains that just because you have a vest doesnt mean you are getting the best care for your daughter....
