As far as it helping or not helping in hot bringing home bugs...(wow, poorly constructed sentence - sorry)
I am a teacher. Two years ago, when my CF daughter was one, I invested heavily in sanitizer and made it available for my kids at school to use. We use it before breakfast (school serves breakfast to everyone), and before snack since we don't use the bathroom as a group at those times. It's also by the Kleenx boxes and if you use one, you automatically use the other. Kids will also get a squirt from me if someone at their table is coming down with something.
I find that I am healthier than I used to be. Still get the back to school cold and had a mild flu-like bug this year, but its better. My daughter gets only the mild stuff that every kid gets, too. AND, attendance in m y classroom is outstanding!!!! 7 kids who have not missed a day of school all year, which blows the school average out of the water!!!!!!
I think it helps.
Just my 2 cents.
