Help! I'm being watched!

Oh I know there are plenty of users that just don't sign in sometimes. I do that too. But can you actually name 1300 people that post? 1300 people that have even made more than 5 posts? (recently?)

I'm just saying it's not normal for a forum to have this many people that view the site but never contribute. And it's making me "paranoid" because of the number of personal topics that a lot of people discuss, sometimes forgetting that anyone can just come up and read it. Also, the more people that come are slowing the site down even more than it already is!! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0"> I wouldn't mind if every one of those 1300 people is a legitimate friend/family/parent/whatever with CF, but I get they feeling they aren't. And if they are, they should register. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Edit: (I make so many post edits) I belong to a forum for another one of my conditions, and not only do you have to register to view the forums, but the admin has to personally accept your registration. So it's not unprescedented to have a members only forum in the least.

Also I was contacted by a drug company who offers scholarships wanting me to post on my blog about their program (I didn't because I think their selective process is complete BS and that the people who REALLY need help won't get it through their program). They found my blog via my sig line here too.

I often wonder if our docs or nurses may check here to see what their patients are up to... then I realize they don't really have time to do that, lol.

I wouldn't be surprised if checking these sites to see what we are all upto is part of thier job. Thanks for bringing this up guys. It just reminds me to use discression writing personal stuff. I truly believe paranoia is a God Send. As long as we make good use of it.

I would think a good percentage of that number is curious people. I know before I join a forum, I spend a great deal of time giving it a once over, check to see if the water's warm before I plunge into it.
