Here's what I've got to say for myself

WHOLLY COOOWWW!!!!! Crazy, Crazy, In my opinion (since it has seemed that everyone else has put their two cents in, heres mine). When I read posts I don't think anyone is being rude or anything I enjoy reading everyones opinions and knowledge. Tho Sean Davis can say some funky stuff sometimes and that doesnt really bother me (just skip his response and go to the next ) and it does get a little agrevating when you make a thread and no one replies, I've had that happen to me and I always had to post something back to even get at least SOMEONE to post. Anywho thats my two cents worth, short and sweet

Just like to say I am fairly new to this site but I can gather the issues from reading all the posts. This disease takes so much from us all, each in a different way. Is this back biting and bickering helping anyone?

I'm reading through all these RIDICULOUS posts, and I can't help but think - maybe we should all be doing something more useful with our time - like extra physio perhaps! I'm off the hook because I'm doing my pep mask as I'm reading this, but come on! Everyone can argue about this and that and the other until the cows come home. My cows are actually already home as I put them in the barn before dinner, so I'm off the hook again, but seriously. Who cares what so and so says, and who cares what so and so says back? It's all just a huge expenditure of energy that us CFers already do not have to expend on such childish bickering. Now, everyone, let's drop it, and get back to more important things like keeping ourselves healthy. Added stress from pointless bitching is not doing anyone any good. We are in this TOGETHER. We should be fighting CF, not each other.

Thank you (accepts Emmy for most inspirational speech on a day-time drama, blows kisses to no one in particular, gets yanked off stage for exceeding 20 second speech time).

PS - I love ALL of you guys and I hope NO ONE leaves.

I have to agree with one of Sean's earlier posts: It takes all types, and when you post a topic looking for replies, you can and should expect a whole range of responses on public forum like this whether you are new to CF or not!

And of course it's likely that some of the frequent posters are going to form friendships/close knit groups......but all of the people mentioned in Julie's blasting post have overall served this community well with helpful and honest advice (and Sean's crazy sense of humor makes me laugh out loud).

As for Allie's comment about "the end result is always the same" on the progression thread, which Julie stated was the last straw......well her young husband DIED of CF a year ago this week....have some compassion. That new poster got lots of encouraging and hopeful responses, but yes some CF families have a rough time of it (mine included), young people still die of CF, and there are some on this board grieving their loved ones lost to CF.....so expect a range of responses!

Well things like this happen on message boards.....I just see it as unncessary, tactless, and hurtful when most all of us here have more than enough to deal with in real life.

Well, then, all we need are a few bottle rockets and we'll be set!

BTW, is there a form I have to fill out to join the AP, or do you have some kind of initiation test? *lol*

It was a joke.

But prices in the US wouldn't be so high if Europe and Canada wouldn't put price caps on pharmaceuticals.

The people of the United States subsidize pharmaceutical research and development because we are the ones that pay the most for meds.

It takes $800 million to bring a drug to the market - and where does that money come from? Not Canada - prices are capped. Not Europe - prices are capped.

That $800 million mostly comes from the US.

Therefore the US subsidizes research and development for the rest of the world.

But really I was just playing around.

Wow, what a shocker! I've managed to dodge all conflict! !i!i!i!wOOt!i!i!i!

My take on this is that there are many people on this forum who are GOOD people, and a few, VERY FEW people on this forum have a reason to complain, julie NOT being one of them. She's by far a VERY HUGE instigator, and yes... I have left snappy remarks, but hey! Sometimes things are called for, and sometimes they're not. SeanDavis is one on the most amazing people I've met(on a forum), and Allie is remarcable! I have a problem with 2 people, and we probably know who they are, but I'm not going to mention the other. That last sentence will probably piss people off... BUT BOOOOOOO FRICKIN HOOOOO!!! YOU'LL GET OVER IT!!! Eh? Yes, I'll use spellcheck. I rarely type this much, but sometimes I see stuff and it makes me laugh

I dedicate my day to Ry! wOOt!

Very well said Austin. I was afraid he was going to say how he REALLY feels about Julie. BUT he truly has more respect than that, even after some of the things she's said about him. Yes, there is such a thing as the freedom to voice your opinions...but what the heck happened to manners and respect???? Some people are just pure evil I guess. *sigh*

I appreciate ALL of the people that were mentioned in that evil post. I'm sorry you all had to feel the backlash that we have felt in the past. We almost left...heck I DID leave. But I guess I refused to be ran off and even found the strength to wish her the best of luck with her pregnancy...because THAT is what caring people do.

I'm hoping this can all, someday, be put behind us...until then, please remember that we all have something much more evil in common...CYSTIC FIBROSIS

*Austin is right...this should be a day to celebrate the life of Ry. We love ya Allie!*

Say what you need to Austin, and Laurel, let your son be a man. Don't come behind him and wipe his A*S. Let him say how he feels about me, that's fine. I said how I feel about others, If I can dish it, I sure can take it.

And Austin, everyones got reason to complain about something at one time or another. I'm glad you think the world is perfect though, you'll soon realize, especially once out on your own, that it isn't all what mommy has made it out to be.

And for the record, and I've said it before, I don't dislike anyone I mentioned (save for SeanDavis but that's another story) mainly because I don't know them well enough to, OR I DO like them but don't like what's been going on lately.

People can keep coming and getting Allie's back, that's fine, I understand she needs the support and as I mentioned before, I had NO idea what this month had in store for her (yah, I don't read blogs, kill me) and it was not intended to be a personal attack on her or anyone else, although I see how it came across that way and I do know I could have done some things differently. It doesn't change how I feel about what I said though, because I mean what I did about the behavior and postings on OTHERS threads.

And for anyone else who wants to jump on my back about Allie, feel free, you have the right, but We've talked breifly about it and right now, I think we're both "ok".
