I have always had one ab that would be continuous. I would have Cefta(Fortum) for about 22.5 hours a day and in the time that the Cefta didn't go through I had Tobra twice a day for about 45 minutes..
I always had the Cadd Plus, later Cadd legacy. Now there is the <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.smiths-medical.com/catalog/ambulatory-pumps-sets/cadd-ambulatory-infusion-pumps/cadd-legacy-plus-pump.html">CaddLegacyPlus</a> and I think I had that one when I had my last home IV's, just before my tx.
It's really small and has a cassette attached to it that contains the medicine. My pharmacy here in my vilage would fill the cassettes, they were 100 ml each for a full day. I would change it in the morning when I did Tobra and stop the pump for a bit at night when the Tobra had to go through.
The Tobra was per IV ball (Easypump).
I have never had a midline, or a PICC even... I had venflons (they lasted long with me) and when they couldn't find a vein anymore I got my first port.
