HOW DO YOU TALK

I also get much more out of breath when I am reading out loud. I used to read everyday to my students but I can't now because I get so tired. But normal talking never bothers me. I wonder why that is?

I don't notice that i sound out of breath but i know when i'm at work i often get comments from clients when i answer the phone like "You sound out of breath have you been running?" I usually just laugh and make a lame comment about rushing to the phone. Its weird cos i don't pick up on it myself

One of my doctors told me it has to do with the pauses we habitually take when talking, vs. reading sentences straight out of a book. That we don't take our normal pauses when concentrating on reading someone else's words? Something like that <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0"> .

the only time i get out of breath is when i'm doing kareoke. (and i do a mean kareoke!) however, that could be due to the added additions that my friends and i do: electric knee slides, interpretive dances and gratuitous air-guitar! we love doing "Livin' on a Prayer" and "Pour some sugar on me"--80's metal.
