Hi,

with my last FEV 1 95% I feel mild, but I have to work hard for it. My inhalations take more than 4 hours a day, I am doing exercise every day... I.V. twice a year, I am PI, col. Ps au.

I don't even know what my fev is, actually this is probably a dumb question, but what is fev?</end quote>

fev1 stands for forced expiratory volume within 1 second. When you do a pft and they tell you to blow out as fast and hard as you can, thats your fev1. When they tell you to keep going till you basically cant go anymore....that would be your fvc .... forced vital capacity.

i would say mild to moderate fev1 around 70

i can certainly tell a difference from when i was 85 ie when i was fev1 85 i felt clear and had no probs walking and getting about
now with a fev 1 of 70 i can still get about and have no probs in that department but have noticed when i laugh i cough a hell of a lot and have started to develop mild pains accross my chest,
