Oh, Emiliee, I'm sorry that you're incarcerated for the time being. Last time I was was in 2003 at Johns Hopkins. I felt pretty good, too, and I nearly climbed the walls. My dx wasn't confirmed yet, although they knew it was PA, so I was in a shared room and kept getting bizarre roomies. I had one great one and we'd watch TV together and talk and laugh, but I had one that blared TV all day and night and the WORST was getting the roomie who was going through heroine withdrawals!!! She was raving and wild and scarey! I told them 3x's that first week that I was checking out and they eventually got me my own room, which helped a great bit!
I also was 2 hrs from home so hardly had any visitors. (My husband is a long distance truck driver so he wasn't even THAT close!) Since we've moved to North GA they've been letting me get my IV treatments at home so far. I can't leave the house for the duration but at least I'm not quite as bored.
I would go with something you're addicted to, because that always makes time seem to fly by. Computer games, whatever that might be for you. Of course I think half of the antsy-ness is from not getting to be very mobile so they only thing for that is walking the halls, etc.
Let us know how you are doing and how you are passing the time. Could you make a book for your daughter while you're in there? Or record some books on tape for her?
