Incontinence in CF women...

I wonder if there's a way to get CFF to put out an article or something comprehensive for us adult women CF-ers...
+ Describing the problem (mechanical or chemical situations...)
+ What can be done to help (exercises, coughing differently maybe?)
+ What treatments are there (devices, surgery, etc...)

Same here- I'm going to ask my gyn about it next week .

I did ask the docs last time I was at the CF Clinic. The doctor up at JH who specializes in this issue was on maternity leave during my last appointment. I'm scheduled for my next visit next month so hopefully I'll get a consultation with her at that time. Surely the fact that the specialist is a woman and who just was out on maternity leave should give her a good understanding! I'm hopeful. ~Juliet</end quote>

When I attended JH the lady that met with me was the PT and she mostly encouraged the muscle exercises. They didn't help me.

I had an Upper GI this past week. Apparently when I got to Recovery, but was still under, I was coughing a lot (my mom later told me she could hear me clear down the hallway!). When I came to, I was soaking wet. They had told me I could keep everything on from the waist down, so my capri's were soaked from the waist down to nearly my knees by the time I'd woken up. And I was so cold!

I had no other clothes along and went into the bathroom and tried to absorb all I could out of the fabric with paper towels and was so uncomfortable and embarrassed until I could get home and change my clothes!

Very embarassing!
