infant cough

ok , if maddy coughs some times she acts like she cant catch her breath so i pat/rub her till she gets it back no biggie , but today she coughed and started turning blue! not just her lips but her poor little face too<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0"> it scared the hell out of me .. it seemed like it took for ever to get her to breathe again... i called our clinic and they said bring her in wednesday 1st thing, my question is ...is there any techniques to get her breathing again ??? i posted this in teen and young people too..

I would not wait until Wednesday if your baby is turning blue while coughing to be seen. I am assuming your baby has CF; either way Blue and trouble breathing would require immediate attention. A trip to the Emergency room if you can not have the CF/pulmonlogist look at her. Is your baby currently sick or fighting an infection? I hope you are doing ok; I am a little surprised the clinic would not have you bring the baby in immediately.
