Hello,
I am not sure where you are from. Me and My fiance Nick are from Jacksonville fl. Nick has cf and is 21 years old. It was not until he turned 21 last October that they made him go to St. Vincents. He was going to A childrens hospital here in Jacksonville. They took such good care of him. The only meds he brought were his enzymes all the other medications they have there for you. So usually there is no need to bring them. If she gets hungry alot I would bring lots of snacks. We always broughts tons of goodies because the gift shop closes early in the evening. We always bring ALOT of movies they have dvd players in most of the rooms. Shampoo and conditioner any toiletries that you and her might need. If you are in jax and staying at wolfsons there is a bed in there for you. Well kind of A bed .. lol I would bring a good pillow and a blanket. It gets cold . Anyways I hope it goes well. Your daughter is cute hope its not to bad. Just be happy she is there and not st vincents. Good Luck Amanda & Nick

I'll repeat a bit here, sorry.

Blanket, pillow, pajamas and a set of REAL clothes incase theres a day when she wants to get dressed and go outside and feel like a "real' person for a bit

I also like to take nail polish, gives me something to do and lends itself to beautification

When I was little I used to almost NEED to decorate my room because they feel so sterile and depressing. After my first visit or two I learned to incorporate a poster board with my full name boldy written on it and decorated to hang over my bed or on the foot of my bed, it was decorative and also helped with mistaken identity issues. (Sometimes the lab will arrive at a room and bed number and start to set up before they realize their patient is not in THAT bed.)

I like having a cd player or something because even when I turn the tv off I like a little white noise to drown out the hospital noises.

Food and snacks can't be said often enough.

I also liked those beading kits you can get to make jewelry.

I always take a hairdryer, sometimes they go out of their way to tell you they're not allowed -whatever- my hair would never dry in there if I didn't blow it.

Keep in mind that a lot of people are going to be coming in and out of your room, janitors, food service, electricians, etc. so I wouldn't take anything you would cry over if it got broken or dissappeared. And you'll want to be sure that her pillow and blanket are bright and stand out as hers so they don't get wrapped up in the bedding when they change the bedding.

Also, when I was little I liked getting something everyday. It gave me something to look forward to. I remember one of my first visits we knew i'd be there three weeks so my Grandma sent me a box of 21 wrapped gifts numbered 1-21. That was so much fun. They weren't huge things, a slinky, silly putty, bubbles, crap like that. But it was fun to unwrap after luch and it was NEW so that was something to fight the battle of boredom.
