noncompliant

I don't have that much to say - it sounds like you appreciate what's on the line if you don't change your approach to CF.

I stay compliant by setting and achieving goals that necessitate full compliance with my routine... check out my blog for examples.

If you can't be compliant for yourself, do it for your wife. You may find that more motivating and easier to handle.

Kate,

What I am hearing from you sounds like a lot of CFers myself included. I only took neb. rx when I thought that I needed them. Did not have time, or did not want to be bothered. Well I got away with it for a long time. Now that I have reached the age of 60, I look back and wonder how much better would I be if I had been more compliant? My lowest fev1 was 28 and now up to fev1 43. I do a 15 min mile with a incline of 4 on the treadmill. Usually do 2 mile but have done 4 miles. Exercise I know has helped me through the yrs.

Was always very active, did not let CF slow me down.

I now do neb. rx 2-3 times a day, 1-1.5hr each with vest during the Hypertonic saline portion. Not a day goes by without doing my neb. rx.
Exercise at the gym 2-3 times a wk.
If I can help with any advice regarding CF please let me know.

I agree with what's already been said, probably more eloquently than I could myself.

A lot of us were there, myself included, but as it's been said, it will fall into place. Just the recognition that you want to be more compliant is going to be your first step to getting there. I agree, don't be hard on yourself. No one here is going to scold you, only support you <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Definately stick around here often
