Here's a link to an article I wrote about CF-Associated Arthritis. The article also mentioned something called hypertrophic pulmonary osteopathy, which is different from arthritis (joints) in that it affects the bones.

I have had really bad knee and hip pain for the last few months. My doc took xrays but they showed nothing so i get the feeling its something i have to live with.

My knee is the worst i can't put weight on it. I went to the cinema this week and after sitting for two hours my knee has played up ever since. I'm struggling to get upstairs but i know it'll pass and for a few weeks i'll get no pain then it'll just flare up again.

I bruise really easy too

I'm thankful I saw this thread. I've been wondering if M could be in any pain. It seems to me that it would make sense he could be.

I'm debating buying an amber necklace for him. Amber necklaces are the rage for teething babies right now. And, in January we bought one in desperation for our toddler. It definitely seemed to help her tremendously. Supposedly amber has oil that soothes pain and it absorbs through the skin as you wear the amber beads. It definitely took a baby who screamed non-stop for months despite pain meds and teething tablets to a child who hardly ever cries anymore.

After reading this, I think I'm going to buy a necklace for M. It can't hurt. And, if he's in pain, it might help him.

They do make amber necklaces in adult sizes if anyone was interested in pursuing trying that treatment. It can't hurt and if it helps, its less pain meds you'd be taking. Just a thought.
