Hi, my 5 year old son has CF and we got a bunch of scandishakes (vanilla) to help him gain weight but he HATES them. He will only drink Boost. I have about 75 unopened packets of vanilla that I could give to someone. I don't want to throw them out and I am not good at e-bay so I thought I would see if someone on here wanted them. So if you are in need and interested just e-mail me. tbird326@yahoo.com.

Oh, and thanks to all of you for you great advice. I come to this site often when I am looking for answers. Not only do I find an answer but I also find much inspiration!

My son is too young for these, but just a suggestion before you get rid of them...I saw somewhere on here where the person added ice cream to them and made milkshakes for even more calories. Would that work?

NO, I tried that too. He says they are "deee-custing!" but thank you for the advice. He likes salty, spicy food, if he can't pour hot sauce on it then he won't eat it. He will drink the boost but nothing else. we even tried the powder the is suppose to have no flavor but he knew it was there.

LOL at the "deee-custing" I can just picture it!!!!

My daughter didn't like those either. We tried pediasure, boost, scandishakes, polycose, duo-cal, etc. all were a flop. But I found something she likes!! They are individual bottles of Chug Milk Shakes. 420 cals and 11gm fat for 12 oz. They are in the milk section of our grocery store and run about $1 a piece. They are kind of expensive if you are going to give your kid several a day, but since my daughter has a feeding tube for calories at night, these are more for extra calories on the days when we don't use the tube.
