Oh I remember those stinky diaper days. It smelled up the whole house even after we bagged the diaper and took it to the trash outside. And boy did it stink when we lifted the lid to put the next diaper in.

I always felt like I had to explain why the house stunk so bad when someone came over. I'm glad we can flush and it's gone. Well sometimes the smell will linger but nothing compared to the diaper days.

Yep, I am saying my granddaughter stinks! LOL Normally its not that bad and goes away after a bit, but not this time. I mean gaggy city here. And Tcole no your house doesn't stink but I always know if LiL G has had a poopy diaper. LOL! I am used to the normal stinky ones been there done that, however, on saturday it was way stronger then normal. You could walk out and come back in and it smelled forever. I just hoped maybe if we could use something like baking soda or something that maybe would take the smell out of the air. I love that little stinky butt! This was first thing in the morning and we put her right into the tub and got rid of the clothes and diaper(out of the house)LOL, so I don't think it got on anything but her.

I actually just went through this and found something that works beautifully... I put a febreeze noticeables in my dd's room on the low setting. It has 2 different smells that it regularly switches so it's always a pleasant smell. It doesn't squirt anything into the air, just an air freshener. My dd's diaper the other day was about to kill me, and then I couldn't get rid of the lingering odor. But the febreeze noticeable has worked so well the past few days. That whole end of the house smells really good now! But I have noticed that if you leave the diaper in the pail for too long it makes the smell worse. I pretty much have to empty the diaper genie immediately. Hope this helps!

I did put "stick-ups" inside the wall of the diaper genie even though I wiped it out and emptied it on a regular basis.
