Spontaneous Mutation

hey i also want to thank ktsmom for noticing my posts!! It seems like most of the time people don't respond to my posts so i figure they don't understand it or i do a bad job explaining or something (which is probably true anyway. i tend to rush things. sorry.)

Also, spontaneous mutation is extremely, extremely rare!!! Most of the genome doesn't even code for protiens also so it is more likely a mutation would occur in non-coding regions when they do occur. also it is normal for carriers to have elevated sweat chloride. Do you know if your daughter is a carrier or not? As long as she is healthy and well, try not worry. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> I completely understand your worry though. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> CF is so scary!!

must stop posting so i can finally graduate.

He is in the Military, they would medically discharge him. And his dreams of being a Police Officer when he gets out of the Military would be null and Void as well.

I have no info about mutations, that stuff is over my head. But I will say that I know a guy who has CF (very mild, might cough a little), and he is a sheriff deputy in a near by county. I've actually met him and didnt know he had CF until I walked away and my husband told me. DH knew he had CF because DH is a nurse and had work with the guy when he would bring someone to the ER, DH heard the guy cough and DH asked. The guy told him yes, but he had a cold at the moment. He was surprised and asked how DH knew. DH told him I had CF and he knew the cough. Point of this story is...even with CF, specially if it is mild, he should still be able to be a police officer.
