NO you will not loose medicare, and NO for SSDI they NEVER Look at household income. Your husband could earn $500,000 a year and you, if your earning is under the threashold for the year (for 2007 it was $640 a month)

<i><b>Continuation of Medicare - If your Social Security disability benefits stop because of your earnings, but you are still disabled, your free Medicare Part A coverage will continue for at least 93 months after the nine-month trial work period. After that, you can buy Medicare Part A coverage by paying a monthly premium. If you have Medicare Part B coverage, you must continue to pay the premium. If you want to end your Part B coverage, you must request it in writing. </b></i> <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.socialsecurity.gov/pubs/10095.html

You were right on Landy, very good info!! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> Kellie,

I do know there is a "table" for if you are over you 9 trial months, the amount you get taken out of your SSDI based on how much you earn, I'm just having trouble finding it right now.

I'll keep looking....

This happened to me back in 2000. I went over my limit one month and in 2006 I got a letter from SSDI that I had to pay ALL of the money back that I ever got. So, I did hire a lawyer (who has done NOTHING for me) and I am still waiting for a trial date to be set. In the mean time I am paying the $28,000.00 back that I had gotten from SSDI. My lawyer said you can go over up to 6 times and the fact that I went over once is ridiculous of them to be asking for all the money back. Supposedly it can take up to 24 months for the trial, but I have now been waiting almost 3 years and still haven't heard a thing. So frustrating!
