My cough likes long walks on the beach, and a nice fresh breath of hypertonic saline.

It likes early mornings when it can get out a lot, usually between the hours of 9am-12pm. It usually likes to be wet and not dry. From 12 to around 5 is it's downtime and I don't really hear from it. From 5 o'clock on it's pretty quiet, only coming out when there's movement such as walking and such.

For the most part, Cough is pretty wet and junky but it's always been that way and apparently sees no problem or need to change. Recently it went on antibiotics and when word spread to the lungs it disappeared for about a week. Soon after it returned but it makes brief appearences here and there.

Gradually I know it will come back.

(and that's usually when some stranger asks, "are you okay?" as if I can really answer when I can't even stop coughing long enough to take a breath!!).</end quote>

Don't ya just hate that question! </end quote>

That and I get offered peppermints in church on a regular basis lol- they'd pass out if they heard my "real" cough . I know they are just being nice...

I don't usually cough a whole lot during my vest, but then I saw in the video that comes with the vest that most people (broad range of people with different conditions) usually start coughing a couple of hours later. Hmmm...I also cough more during my vest if I do my HTS first.

I really haven't paid much attention to my cough lately, since it hasn't been bothering me much except in the mornings. I have no idea how many times a day I cough. I always have a few big, productive coughs in the morning. I usually cough one or twice when I'm swimming- I discovered on vacation that I can cough (small cough ) while snorkling and not miss a beat-lol.

I get offered peppermints in church too! And coughdrops. Usually I just say thanks and accept them, but I don't eat them because I'm allergic. I'm a big fan of utilitzing the "Ecclesiastical Cough." Cough when someone else does. The "echo" cough is rarely noticed!

Hmm lets see...

The vest RARELY makes me cough and only if someone makes me laugh while doing it.

I cough when I laugh, when I run (short distances can't do long), after taking the steps a few times, in the morning it is the worst, when I am in the shower, sometimes at night I think I will never fall asleep because I can't stop coughing but that hasn't been too bad lately (knock on wood), I notice that the afternoons are more "coughy" for me...like around 2-4 I seem to notice it the most. I think it is because at that point its been 8-10 hours since my neb and my body is checking in and yelling!

I don't cough too much working out, but afterwards when I go to my car I hack up a lung. If I get really excited and talk alot that makes me cough and I can't walk and talk ALOT at the same time cause I cough and get out of breath...but that has gotten better lately too with exercise...lung functioning improving? Cross those fingers!!

The cold makes me cough but I always chalked it up to me shivering so bad my body thought it was exercising!

I notice I cough more the next day after I have been to the bar (duh).

Then of course there are the usual annoying all day long coughs and throat clearings that I swear annoy my co-workers though many probably don't even notice.

My coughs are usually dry sometimes there is a little phelm in them but not often unless I am sick or something.

If I had to count how many times I coughed it would be a full time job! I cough alot, but rarely productive...is that bad?

edited to add:

I do know that thanks to my cough I have the best set of abs my friends have ever seen!!!! I get comments all the time about them LOL!!!

and that when I am nervous or uncomfortable I cough more...I don't want the attention yet my body goes and coughs so EVERYONE stares!! AHHH!!!
