Awesome. Yea, if everyone were to take an I.Q. test, that would eliminate a lot of voting based solely on gender or skin color, of course not all, but most of the stereotypical voting. Intellectuals would not be scared into voting a certain way, and they would see through a lot of these candidates' attack ads. A candidate with only above average intelligence should be able to run, as it would benefit us greatly if intelligent people would make decisions involving this country. I think most, if not all, people in positions of power follow the whims of a dumbed-down population. Like Tom said, the average American is dumb.And since a slim minority of people are intelligent enough, instead politicians base decisions on stupid opinion polls, so the decisions they make are the choice of the dumb majority.

I am not sure about IQ testing. Someone can be book smart, have a high IQ, but lack common sense.

Am I not correct because I seem to know many "intelligent" people that are pretty dumb LOL
