It's so hard becuase this is a major hurdle and I know that CF affects people differently but I am sure we will have the same issue with Kiana when she reaches Alysa's age and that breaks my heart.

I feel like whatever Alysa is going through and once we get past it I will have to do it again because Kiana is not far behind her..... <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

I just saw your post saying your daughter is coughing so much she is throwing up. Have you spoken to the CF doc about that? Is she on antibiotics? Had a recent sputum culture? I would want that treated aggressively. Maggie had a time when she was 2 1/2 years old and she wouldn't stop coughing, everytime she came off the antibiotics the coughing would start again. She ended up needing IV's and strong antibiotics to knock down the bacteria, as well as increasing her nebs and Chest pt. Just so you know; some docs(even CF docs) think it's normal for Cf'ers to cough. Of course, they do cough but when their sleep is interrupted, they are choking/ throwing up the sputum, it should be taken seriously to prevent any lung damage. Not trying to scare you; just thought I'ld throw that out there. Alot of CF docs do like to treat the coughs of the little CF'ers to prevent the bacteria from setting up residence in the lungs.

I've never had chest pain with my vest, only back pain. But I tolerate it because it's only for a short while each day and the benefits from the vest are worth it for me.
