DS was born with a bowel obstruction and when he was in the NICU, we had to go down to xray so they could put barium down his ng tube to make sure things were working right. The tech handed my husband a lead apron, then looked at me at asked I might be pregnant. I must have looked horrified 'cuz I was thinking about my stitches.
My husband visiting with the doctor and nurse about when starting up feedings and they kept talking about how I could begin breastfeeding. And DH asked, if anyone had bothered talking to me about it because DS was a formula baby.
And probably the weirdest, scariest experiences I ever had was about 7 years ago waiting for them to wheel me into the OR for my tonsilectomy and the nurse had "my" chart, began starting my IV and commented on what an odd first name I had and how do I pronounce it. I said, sarcastically, "what, Liza". She gasped and ran away quickly. And I just about did the same wondering whose chart she had and what the heck were they going to do to me.
