What do you take?

I don't know if this has been posted yet, I looked a ways back and couldn't find one, so here goes.

I'de love to know what everybody takes daily for meds/therapies. Amounts, etc. I've not known anybody else with CF aside from my brother, so I don't know what is average and what is not.

Here is what I take:

-10 Creon20 capsules with each meal

-4ml of the 10%+0.9 Sodium Chloride mixture inhaler twice a day before tharapy (I just started it about two weeks ago, I would HIGHLY suggest it to anyone for help with airway clearance)

-2 puffs Albutorol twice a day before each tharapy session

-the Flutter valve twice a day after the Sodum Chloride and Albuterol

-2 puffs Flovent twice a day after Flutter valve

-Tobi inhaler twice a day (after Flutter) one month on, one month off

-Azythromicin Mon, Wed and Fri

-Doxycyclin twice a day

If I get sick they usually put me on Bactrum(sp) DS for about a week and a half to wipe out the infection

I participate in the Creon 'More Extra Helpings' program (which I would also REALLY strongly recommend tp ANYONE trying to gain weight) so they send me a month supply of CFSource mutivitamin gels and 560calorie canned drinks every month for using Creon.

I am now in the process of getting a Vest again (I used one when I was little, it's been awhile) so I can use that WITH my Flutter valve.

I am 5'11, 180 pounds, and my PFT's are currently 115%

EDIT: When I do the Flutter I do 10 soft blows, followed by 3 hard blows and puffs. Then repeat for three sets. Then I do 3 hard blows and 3 puffs two or three more times, or until my head hurts :p

Courtney has had very few lung issues so most of her meds are for the digestion issues.

She is 14 years old, is 5 feet 3 1/2 inches tall, weighs 85 pounds, and her last PFT's were 103%.

Her meds are:

Ultrace MT20's 6 with meals 4 with snacks

Ursodiol 300MG twice daily (this med is for her gallbladder)

Vitamax twice daily

Flowvent 44mcg two puffs twice daily

Albuterol two puffs as needed

Achipex 20mg one tablet twice daily

She has the albuterol for the neb, but that is used as needed and (keeping fingers crossed) she does not need it often.

She is suppose to use the flutter daily, but I have given up trying to force her to use it!!

Sure thing! I actually used to take UltraceMT20 until I was told about this program, it's the reason I switched to Creon and I've never once considered switching back! (I can't stand Scandyshakes).

Well my doctors are the ones who told me about it, and they gave me a little info slip to fill out and send off to them, so I would ask them for that.

But the companies name is Solvay Pharmaceuticals (www.SolvayCares.com).

EDIT: Okay I just went to the website for the first time. THIS is the form that I fill out every month and send to them:
http://www.solvaypharmaceuticals-us.com/static/wma/pdf/4/0/8/0/EH_CouponBk.pdf
When ever I get a box of drinks and vitamins there is another form inside the box. That website should have all the info you need! Good luck!
