Hi All,
This is my first post after lurking for a while. GREAT FORUM!!!
Anyway I'm on my third illness in about the last 15 months.
#1 Jan 08-Mar 08 I was on IVs for part and recouping the rest due to physical exhaustion. In the hospital for 5 days.
#2 Jul 08-Sept 08 On IVs again and hospitalized for 9 days.
#3 Mar 09-present TOBI/Azi combo. No hospital stay but off work till 4/1.
I enjoy working and love the mental challenge. However, I work as a tax manager for Ernst & Young and the job can be stressful during busy seasons. I recently reduced my schedule to like 32 hours a week. However, sometimes due to a deadline I end up working like 40-45. I can reduce my schedule further, unfortunately my salary goes down as well. My firm is extremely understanding and supportive FYI.
Any thoughts at what point I should think about going on disability? We have great LT disability coverage here but I hate the thought of losing the mental challenge and social interaction I get from work.
Any thouughts?
