@LouLou, I was told by the infectious disease doc that M. abscessus can be found almost anywhere; showers, dirt, medical appliances, basements, keyboards, shopping carts, everywhere - especially if it's somewhere damp. She said it was nearly impossible to guesstimate where I contracted it from...
