    Side effects from Cipro

I take cipro whenever I get an infection and I don´t have side effects from it. I actually used to take another one which name I cannot recall and I had lots of side effects on that one, I felt like a schizophrenic, so I switched to Cipro and it´s been fine. But mind you, I don´t suffer from...

    Flying with O2

Hi, I have been flying long distances (more than 10 hours) for many years and never had any problems during or after the flight. However, in my last flight, which was only a 3 hours, I measured my O2 for the 1st time - with an oximeter - and was shocked - my O2 levels dropped to the 70%s! Is...

    CF tattoos

I have 4 tattoos and never had a problem because of them. None of them is CF related, but I have been playing with the idea of getting my mutations tattoed somewhere, sometime. Make it more personal and kind of intriguing if you´re looking from the outside.

Sounds good Jeanne. I'm wondering which spirometers pair with phones and ipads? I haven't seen any with that feature.

I've used it with 4 different medicines, all approved by doctors: - Pulmozyme - Colomycin - Tobi - MucoClear Just gotta use different cups for the...

    D508/R117 mutations

Am I right in assuming that just because Kalydeco works on R117H, it doesn't mean that it'll work on R334W? Great to hear it's helping so many people though!

Ovulation causing breathing probelms that time of month?

Hey, funny you asked that because for the first time this month I noticed that I felt more tired and overall crappy on the day that I was ovulating. It could have been a coincidence, especially since I only noticed it this month, but it could also be related.

I Am Cystic Fibrosis and I Am Not a Limitation!

Mark (the first Mark) hehe, Thanks for posting the video and taking the time to try to go forward with this idea and raise awareness for CF. I was a bit touched by your post where you say that you're sad that 30 people have read your thread but only 5 watched the video. I have actually not seen...

    What year were you diagnosed?

Interesting topic. I was born in 1983. Diagnosed in 1991 with Bronchiectasis (I had had no symptoms up till this age) and then spent the next 6 years in extremely poor health until I was finally diagnosed at 15 years old with CF. As opposed to all the other posters here, I was advised to "not...

    Night oxygen

Thanks. I tried it again last night and this time I had no problems. I realized that I couldn't fall asleep because of anxiety about the oxygen (what a surprise) so I decided to take my laptop to bed with me and watch George Carlin (comedian) doing his stand up to help me relax. I had the oxygen...

    CF, marriage and depression

Like other people have suggested, I believe in therapy - talking with someone who has a neutral standpoint about you and your situation can be very helpful. It can also help you understand the areas in which you are struggling (yes, it can be CF, but what exactly about it), and that can be the...

    Night oxygen

I had my first attempt at using oxygen at night last night. I was relaxed and (finally) accepting the situation so I thought it was going to go relatively smoothly. It didn't. I tossed and turned for 2,5 hours in bed and couldn't fall asleep. It felt uncomfortable, unnatural and the wind in my...

    Rehab frustration

Hi, Sorry this is not going to address your problem directly, but at least you are getting some work done. I was all excited about pulmonary rehab, but all they did was teach me a breathing technique and sent me home for me to practice by myself! Then she called the other day to check on me, I...
