Difference between normal CF cough and infection?

If you have attempted to use oral antbx and the cough keeps coming back worse than 'baseline' then you need to get pfts done and go on IV's. My advice is DO NOT WAIT. Address the issue and go on IV's NOW. Your doctor does not know what your 'baseline' cough is. YOU DO. If you are feeling...

    Non-accredited CF care

When I lived in CA, I was initially seen at Long Beach Memorial. From my experience, I do not believe the dr was fully in tune with CF Care 100% the way I thought he should be. At the time, he had another practice and CF was secondary -which to me equates to 'not great care'. The nurse there was...

    IV side effects

Kalydeco or VX-770 off lable use?

I read all the data from poster 204 and 206. No mention at all about a group of homozygous F508s with an increase in Fev1. Poster 204 groups everyone together. He/she was right. There is a chart that shows change in fev1 but it does not break down the change in fev1 according to mutation.

    Corrector

Does anyone have any info about the current possiblecorrector being tested outside of Vertex to go along with the Kalydeco? I think there were a few discussed at the conference and I believe that Viagra was one of the drugs that was currently being tested to work as acorrector with Kalydeco. Is...

    DF508 question

Nikole, I believe that your child will have a VERY bright and happy future. I think at 5 years old, there are so many companies other than Vertex that are working to correct this problem and that she will benefit. I would be thrilled to know that if I had a daughter, she was born only 5 years...
