    What is going on????

Julie~ Not posting and then 10x showing up: are you getting an error message when you try? If so, before repeatedly posting, copy your post (so you don't have to retype it all out), go to the thread and refresh- when this has happened to me, in almost every case my post has been there. I have no...

    Culturing MAC

I am so sorry you have yet more going on, Jennifer. I am not all that knowledgeable about MAC, just that it requires a really long period of treatment to get it under control, which must be very discouraging and overwhelming to you right now. :-( National Jewish is *the* place to go for this...

    Strep throat? vs viral

My kids have always had VERY red throats, and sometimes white patches on the red with strep... usually sore to the point of painful swallowing. They have always had fever and diminished appetite (I think sometimes due to just how painful swallowing is) and lethargic. When they were little they...

    Cut off topics???

Same here, Caroline... I can't see the last posts either on that thread. I can see that new ones are being made (they have showed up on the site home page and/or I can see who replied last on the main forum page) but when I open the thread, I cannot see the most recent ones.

When to change your CF clinic?

We don't deal with a 3+hr commute for Emily's cf care- more like 60-90min depending on traffic. However, my son sees an specialist that is a good 3hrs+ away, and for excellent care with a dr I trust at a hospital I feel comfortable with (he's been inpatient for prolonged stays a couple times)...

Hypertonic Saline in 2 year old

edan~ You definitely went about it the right away~ trying it first in the office setting and monitoring everything to be sure all went well. :-) Given your dd's reaction to bronchodilators (I have heard of others having the same response) it's certain that you are doing the right thing! Our...

Hypertonic Saline in 2 year old

travinluf~ your dr is recommending hypertonic saline WITHOUT albuterol- and doesn't have the kids do it for the first time in the office either? That would make me very nervous. Some people with cf do OK without a bronchodilator first, but as far as I know, the majority of people that use...

    I hate CF

I'm so sorry, Tom. It is INCREDIBLY difficult to cope with severe neurological, psychiatric and other similar illness/chronic conditions on their own, nevermind combined with a disease like cystic fibrosis. I could never claim to truly understand the road you are traveling right now but I can...
