Sounds like you are doing all the right things. If I feel like I'm coming down with something I start some prednisone immediately to keep the airways open, tons and tons of water, no sugar, absolutely no dairy, light 2x/day exercise, as much sleep as I can get, nebbies every 3-4 hours even...
heheeh, sometimes I lose my voice in the middle of winter or it deepens. Seems to improve over the summer when I cough less, so the damage seems somewhat reversable. My singing voice has gotten worse over the years, prob from a combo of the cough and acid reflux.
Its helped me. If I remember correctly, it took about a week to feel a difference. Make SURE you wash your mouth out afterwards, or you'll get one of nasty mouth thrushy things. I've been on it for years, havent seen any side effects (other than the nasty mouth condition which went away...
man, that sucks vampy, no one should tease because of these issues. I really like poise pads. They absorb well, come in a lot of different sizes, seem to absorb odor pretty well. Your friends and family should count their darn blessings that they dont have to deal with what you do. I was...
When I was a child, I found it horribly hurtful to hear comments such as "they should just let her die" and "why bother treating her" etc, etc. My parents combated this nonsense by telling me I could do anything I put my mind to, that I should push the limits, live life to the fullest. I am...
yep. My husband get his jollies drawing pictures in the salt crystals deposited on my skin after I sweat. That's just the way it is for me. If you are losing that much salt, might want to think about supplementing it.
YUMMY!!! I dont have a pic of it yet, but tonight's dinner will be lamb chops, baked potato, fresh asparagus from the garden, baby beets, and salad. Fruit juice popsicles for dessert. Skim milk for the kids and mint tea for me!
Hiya Bailey. I've been with my husband since 1988, married in 1996. We started dating when he was 15 and I was 17. I have CF, he does not. Feel free to ask about whats on your mind. If its very personal, just PM me. : )

The only thing I can really add, is when your CF worsens, what do you see happening with your relationship? Since kids add a huge amount of stress and the...
You arent alone.
My husband and I now joke about how my issue really "Depends" on my "Poise".
Gotta laugh, or I'm gonna cry.
Had problems with this since I was about 20 and its only gone from bad to worse.
Exercise has helped, as has cutting out sugar. I feel for you. At age 40, I wear...
I didnt have an side-effects from claratin, but it also didnt do squat for my allergies. The only thing that does seem to work with my issues is benadryl. Of course, its short acting so I have to keep taking it through the day and nite. A pain in the rump, but if I forget it, I do notice a...

I tried taking larges doses of vitamin D, didnt make any difference in my levels. THen I started consciously trying to sit out in the sun for 20+ minutes a day. My D levels normalized , as well as my calcium levels, and my infection rate plummeted. If the D is messing up your GI tract, you...
