    Anesthesia issues?

OMG, I have a hellish time with being put under. Once they had to give me so much I didnt wake up until 24 hours later (yeah, they put me in a light coma) and another time I had perfect auditory recall of everything that was said during the surgery! Note, I did not feel ANY pain, but when I...

Daughter Exposed to TONS of dry dirt in the air camping

Dust exposure (via riding rings/horses) has always been a serious problem for me. It definitely worsens my asthma and greatly increases the frequency of exacerbations when I'm exposed. I wouldnt worry so much about PA, but the simple particulate matter being deposited in the lungs is not good...

    Pregnancy & CF..

oooohh havoc, right on. Parenthood is HARD. The sleep deprivation can send you into a CF tailspin. But if you're determined, have decent health and have a supportive partner, no reason why you cant. I would not advocate for a single parent situation though. Hard enough with a supportive...

Anybody try a dairy-free, gluten-free, sugar free diet?

Deb, I had the same results too. I eat scads of veggies, some fruit, and a lot of super lean meats like chicken, fish, turkey, and venison. No dairy (I drink a lot of almond milk), almost no sugar, and only a very small amount of straight carbos (maybe a piece of low-cal toast, or a few bites...

Anybody try a dairy-free, gluten-free, sugar free diet?

YES. It did wonders for me. -eliminated the CFRD -although I'm PI, no more enzymes -greatly reduced tummy pain and bloating -better weight control (duh!) -less overall infections and inflammation -not to get gross, but much more normal poo It is hard to stick with, but my body adapted...

    First CF Hemoptysis

Does anyone know why some people are more prone to hemoptysis than others? It doesnt seem to be directly related to FEV. I've know some folks who had pretty high FEV, but were just prone to bleeding. Any ideas?
