There was a thread about this some time ago. It seems like it varies by person. some people thrive in FL, while others do better in dry climates. My dd does well near the ocean but as long it as it is dry.

My dd seems to be allergic to every antibiotic she takes more than once or twice. She had a very similar reaction to Augmentin, swelling etc, so it is a no no for us as well.

I have been using coconut oil for my dd sinbg she was 1 y/o maybe. It is more easily absorbed b/c these are medium chain triglicerides. I saw huge benefits in terlms of weight gain, she went from 25th percentile to over 75th. I am not so sure about anti bacterial and anti viral properties...

I agree with missa about retest. It seems strange though that his elastase was 381 and his stools are always loose. I know that in babies it is not unusual for the pancreatic status to flip. Sometimes they go from PI (low elastase) to PS (normal elastase) after taking enzymes b/c it sort of...

If I could give you one piece of advice then it would be to be very watchful and keep on top of everything. Doctors knows medecine better than us, CF parents, but even the best doctors can make mistakes b/c they are busy, tired, had a bad day etc. I am saying this from personal experience: only...
