Haley,

I missed one...

Did they draw an A1C? That is the other blood value for diabetes. For example, my glucose was "borderline". Yet my A1C was 5.7 (normal). That is how I got "off the hook". An abnormal A1C would be 6.0 +.

EDITED TO ADD:

An A1C is a value given to how well your pancreas has produced insulin over a 3-month-period. It is an average. For you, it may have gone up over that time period with being pregnant. They may not have done one. If they did, they did it right along with your fasting sugar before you drank the nasty stuff.

Also, increase you water intake since it helps lower blood sugar levels! Ask me anything about diabetes. I'm sure I can help you at least get over the hump.

thanks for all the info. i also get tested every year at my cf clinic for cfrd and my doctors have never said anything about the results, so i guess that means i've been fine.

my ob said that all the other levels were fine, but i'm not exactly sure what they tested for. i'll be 28 weeks on sunday, so i'm little over half way...yeah!!!! my ob isn't familar with cf, everytime i go in he ask me how my asthma is, i promise he's a great doctor, i guess he's just out of the loop when it comes to cf.

i do drink a ton of water every day and i try to get in 30 minutes of treadmill at least four times a week. i think i get plenty of walking in between my job and just my everyday activities.

hopefully everything will be fine. i'm going in to do the three hour monday morning at 6:30am so i'll have breakfast around 10:00am, i'll be starving by then i have my 28 week appointment with my ob on wednesday so they should have the results. then i go to my cf center on the 22nd since my cf doctor is seeing me every month since my ob isn't considering high risk.

Haley,

It sounds like you're doing everything that you can. Keep it up! I also remember reading somewhere that you're not one for sweets. You are doing all that you can!

I'm sure you'll be alright. You're halfway through. Just hang in there!!!
