Just for the record, I posted this info. to enlighten, not to judge. As an artist and an art teacher, I appreciate all types of "exterior packaging".
They don't ALL cut themselves with razors. The kids who are described as emo (short for emotional or emote) are usually overly dramatic, have very severe haircuts and make-up. The are not as creepy and mysterious as Goths.
The girls and boys look the same.
