Does anyone NOT use the vest for physio?

Welcome to Canada! We don't have the vest here. At least not where I am, so I've never tried it. For physio, I do my PEP mask, manual chest percussion (me or my husband), and sometimes these breathing techniques my doctor recommended (not sure what they're called).

Hey Alegris,

I'm actually from Vancouver myself. Where are you from?

Kelli: PEP is a thing made by PARI that stands for "Positive Expiratory Pressure". It's like a little pipe where you breathe in a controlled way through a tiny little adjustable hole. Works great!

I use PEP (um, sometimes) and manual when I am feeling junky. Exercise seems to give me more airway clearance than any other method I've tried.

I do feel like a Vest would benefit me but, well, we can't get them.

I do have a vest, but only use it on rare occasions. I don't really like it. It is very uncomfortable in the bust area. I use a percussor that I have had for years. I much rather prefer to use it than the vest.

My daughter uses the flutter and she has since she was 7yrs

she does 10 long soft blows, a huff then a cough and does this 12 times.

She uses the exercise bike and the elyptical for exercise as well.

She does this twice a day.

I would like to get her the vest but it just costs way tooooo much

I would still get her to use the flutter as well as the vest if we had it.

Cory hates the vest and found it never really worked. He still prefers manual CPT. We do CPT twice a day and he does PEP when he needs something extra and I am at work.
